Day 1 card, replicated with Roxie — side by side with the LazyFit original

The probe the whole remake hinges on: LazyFit's illustrated card character swapped for Roxie in the same flat cel style, with the card chrome rebuilt programmatically. Four Nano Banana Pro candidates, 8 credits total.

The comparison

Original LazyFit Day 1 Belly card: illustrated woman lying on her back doing a crunch holding a phone, zoom inset on her waist

Original — LazyFit

Source frame at t=3.65s. "PROTECTED"/"LazyFit" watermarks are from the ad-library ripper.

Replicated Day 1 card: illustrated Roxie in sage loungewear lying on her back holding a phone above her face, rebuilt card chrome with printer slot and zoom inset

Replica — Roxie

Candidate 3 figure + fully programmatic chrome: paper texture sampled from the source video, printer slot, Avenir Next type, waist zoom inset.

My read

Identity: holds.

She reads unmistakably as Roxie — the long wavy silver hair, the face, the sage loungewear — while being a flat illustration. This was the make-or-break question and it passes.

Card grammar: matches.

Printer slot, Day/label/minutes block, sticker-outlined figure, circular zoom inset, paper background — all present and in the source's proportions. The chrome is code (PIL at 3× scale), so Days 2–4 are config changes and it ports straight into the Remotion build.

Pose: right idea, ~85% there.

Lying on her back, knees drawn up, phone held above her face — the "following the app in bed" story lands. Her arms angle back over her head rather than straight up, so the crunch reads slightly more like lounging than exercising. Fixable with one more generation pass or acceptable as-is given the "lazy" framing.

Style: in the family, one notch more elegant.

The source is chunkier and more naive — thicker limbs, flatter shading, less hair detail. Roxie's version is prettier and more drawn. At feed size the difference mostly disappears; worth deciding whether "slightly more premium than the original" is a feature or a drift.

One blemish.

The phone screen shows a tiny face (reads as the app's coach on a video call — almost a happy accident). Easy to paint over or crop in the rig if unwanted.

Bottom line: the gate passes. The remake's core trick — Roxie as the illustrated card character — is producible at 2 credits per still with identity intact. The open choice is taste, not feasibility.

All four candidates

Candidates 1 and 2: vertical top-down illustrated Roxie, phone held at forehead, delicate line style
Round 1 (cand 1–2). Identity and wardrobe locked immediately, but the phone sits on her forehead instead of above her face, and the style is finer-lined than the source.
Candidates 3 and 4: chunkier cel-shaded Roxie, candidate 3 diagonal with phone held up, candidate 4 vertical symmetric
Round 2 (cand 3–4), after prompting for "thick outlines, chunky rounded proportions, phone closest to camera". Candidate 3 (left) won on the diagonal composition and raised phone; candidate 4 is a usable alternate with a more symmetric, chunkier look — arguably closer to the source's weight.
